I love this Shea Moisture product line. Most of the products are organic. The product description always does exactly as it reads. I love this shampoo as it washer is your hair nicely, conditions it at the same time smells great and leaves it with a nice texture too.I always use Shea Moisture weightless coconut spray fusion after washing my hair bc my hair doesn’t have much body so this product gives it great body without Any gummy feeling, just really nice body. One of the really special things about their products is the smell. They smell so so good! People always comment about how good my hair smells, some thing nice to hear. You can also use their products on chemically treated hair too. Another really great thing from the seller is, they don’t overcharge for a simple bottle of shampoo. In fact, it’s reasonably priced, for such great products! I’ve been using it for years and thrilled I found some thing I love so much. I recommend it to everyone I know and they love it too. First, let me say that I am caucasian, with medium hair (neither thick nor fine), and my hair is not oily and tends to dry out quickly. I also live in a very dry environment that sucks the moisture out of everything. I heat style my hair once or twice a week.I love this shampoo because I can understand all the ingredients, it smells nice and not too strongly, and it doesn't seem to completly strip my hair of oils. I have to wash my hair after every work shift, and with this shampoo, I don't need to condition unless I'm planning to heat style. I have medium length hair and can still detangle after just shampooing. Its a little expensive, but one bottle goes a long way - until about a month ago, I had much longer hair, and one bottle has lasted me from June 1st till November, with an average of one shampoo every 2 to 3 days.I recently bought another shampoo from a very popular brand that is supposed to be made from natural ingredients and oils, as well as help retain moisture, and I felt a huge difference. There were only a couple recognizable ingredients (after water) in a long, long list of chemicals and it seemed to strip everything off my hair, which meant I needed to condition. Will be giving that shampoo to a friend and replacing with my trusted Shea Butter Moisture Retention Shampoo!Excelente shampoo. I moved from a tropical climate with high moisture content in the air to a place that is very very dry in winter. Having no idea what to do, I finally realized that I needed to change my products from the beginning of my hair care- that being my shampoo.So, I began an internet search. First, I realized that the reason why my roots were so greasy after just a day was because the rest of my hair was very dry, it needed moisture. I kept thinking the opposite, oh no, my roots are greasy, it needs drying! Well, I was very very wrong. After a careful search, many websites deemed this was the choice I needed.Well, literally one day within using this shampoo, I could feel the difference. My hair felt softer and fluffier rather than dry and limp and the next day it wasn't full of grease up top. So, let this be a good case for "listen to the internet."I am a white woman with thick hair and it works wonderfully. I was skeptical, because it's a shampoo considered for "natural" hair, and I wasn't sure if it would work for my "white" hair. It absolutely does. It does not smell amazing, but it's not an overpowering scent. It's easily covered with conditioner or coconut oil, which I use on my ends for extra moisture.I'm kind of upset that I haven't heard of this brand sooner because it is amazing! Every single ingredient in this product is natural! Usually with "natural" shampoos and conditioners, there is a few questionable ingredients, but this shampoo is 100% natural so that makes me so happy. Saw a review mentioning mold growing... I WANT a product that will mold because that means that it's not filled with chemicals and synthetic preservatives like every other shampoo on the market! Just keep water out of this shampoo (the rule with all natural products) and you should be fine.The smell is a strong floral scent, but in a natural way (it is scented with essential oils opposed to fragrances and perfumes.) After using, my hair feels clean and soft (but not oily or greasy, which tends to happen.) Will definitely be purchasing this shampoo again!UPDATE: After using this shampoo (every other day) for about a month, Ive noticed that some days, it leaves my roots feeling greasy. (Not sure why it does some days and not other days...) So, if you have oily-prone hair, this shampoo probably is not the best choice for you. It has helped my scalp which tends to get quite dry during the winter, which is a bonus.I'm loving these products that I've recently found - and love that they are also kind to animals. I have long red hair that is mostly frizzy - only with a lot of effort will it go into ringlets that hold for a couple of days after the wash. I like my hair shorter - but it's just too hard to control; at least when I keep it long I can tie it up on bad days. I've been on a life long search for a great hair care product.I've used the Shea Moisture combo of this Shampoo, the Restorative Conditioner (I do the 3-15 mins after the shampoo, then add a small amount to leave in after my cold water rinse), and then I divide my hair into about 10 segments and apply the Cocoanut and Hibiscus Mousse (I only need 2 pumps to each segment, and twirl my segments around my finger) - wrap in a hair dry towel for half an hour and don't touch it!It's hanging in even the next day, and isn't wild and crazy even on the third day. Thank you Shea Moisture! I'm now thinking I could get my hair cut. Woo Hoo!I am currently trying to grow a nice healthy hair. This product was recommended to me by a friend of mine and after researching it for a while decided to give it a try.I tend to have oily scalp and the first time I used the shampoo my hair felt quite oily the day after I used the shampoo, however it didn’t look oily, in fact I got 3/4 days without washing my hair before I had to wash it again. The second time my hair was not feeling oily at all, instead it was very soft and smooth, the frizz from my hair is also gone despite I am long overdue a haircut. I was a bit sceptical reading comments that it is for dry hair only but up until now it has worked very well with my hair. So far I am having quite a pleasant experience with the shampoo.I will continue using the product as it seems to be working for me but I am also planning to combine the use of shampoo with a conditioner and perhaps a mask.Like the matching conditioner, I found this to be a bit heavy but that's not because it's a bad product, just not best suited to my hair type, I think this would be great for people with very thick, dry, coarse, or tight curls, or even someone with processed/damaged hair. The shampoo and conditioner in the Raw Shea Butter Retention line are extremely nourishing and if your hair doesn't need a LOT of moisture it can weigh it down, so consider your hair's needs before purchasing.I wanted to swap to a shampoo and conditioner with more natural ingredients. This came highly recommended so thought I'd try it.The smell reminds me of those hippy shops that sell incense sticks and crystals - earthy and woody but in the best way!Before using this shampoo, I first wash my hair with a shampoo bar to cleanse my scalp and hair. Then I use the shea moisture shampoo and a scalp massager to work the product in. I do find it leaves a bit of a residue if not thoroughly rinsed out. Then I follow up with the shea conditioner and a cold rinse.I haven't noticed a huge difference in the overall condition of my hair but it does feel softer!Love this! It saved my thick, straight hair that was damaged and dry. Its amazing for adding moisture and I only wish the mask from this range was as effective! Also, if your hair is protein sensitive like mine, this works. I'm trying many products to repair my hair (castor oil/serums/masks) and this has been the best. Genuine product also, as I know there's a lot of fakes on Amazon.Great product my second purchse only because I left it at my brother’s home. All salons who deal with unprocessed hair should use this. Only a few times in my life I have gone to salons that use a premium qulaity shampoo! So from now on will carry my own shampoo to salon. Would definitely recommend!!!!
