This product works on bare nails - but be patient - it is not a quick fix - does not work over night - need to apply at two time a dayIf this is used every day, it works very well. I have a terrible time growing my nails and this works quite well. I usually do not use polish as that seems to increase chance of nails pealing or cracking. You must be consistent in using this product. I put on nails and rub in once a day and seems to work quite well.I have used this off and on for years. It takes my dry, brittle, peeling short nails to healthy, growing nails. Apply daily till your nails improve, them maybe as needed. You don't take this off. You paint it on and it dries to a clear satin/matte finish. NOT a polish. It's undetectable, invisible. If you can't wear polish to work, you could probably wear this. (It also helped after finally getting gels off diy.)This product is awesome - the cuticle oils don't work well for me, but this gel seems to do the trick!I am on my 2nd bottle. My nails are extremely dry. This has helped a lot.In my job my hands/nails get exposed to lots of washing and chemicals. This product has helped my nails a lot. I put it on before bed and can tell the difference in the morning. This isn't doesn't make them stronger overnight, but you can tell it helps them.Love how my nails look. Does not smell like nail polish so definitely a plus. Nails look healthy and whiteThere was no shiny surface, and was sticky. I wouldn't use it again so that is why I am returning it.
