I purchased 2 of these (1 for the front yard and 1 for the back yard) along with the corresponding timers. I am happy with timers, but the soil moisture meters could be improved. You cannot link more than 1 soil meter to the same Wi-Fi Timer. I am not sure if this is a hardware limitation or a software limitation, but it would be nice to be able to pair multiple sensors to each timer.I have found the claim that the soil moisture meters can be placed approximately 300 feet away with a direct line of sight to be inaccurate. I have had numerous issues with my sensor in the back yard when getting approximately 50 feet away with a direct line of sight. For the back yard, I have had to repair the soil moisture meter to the timer more times than I care to admit.- The first few times were my fault due to faulty batteries. The meter would pair to the timer long enough to appear that it was working, but then it would stop a few minutes later (maybe 10 minutes?). I could see the instantaneous readings on my phone, but the chart(s) never would update. It was extremely confusing to figure out this problem.- After replacing the batteries, it appeared to be working much better. However, I kept having issues where the sensor would not show up in the app a few minutes after it was paired and installed. I would connect the meter to the timer, place it in the ground, receive one of the instantaneous readings, and then a few minutes later, it was offline again. After moving the sensor to 3 different spots in the back yard, I finally settled on a place within ~25 feet of the timer and haven't had any issues since then.Note: It is worth noting I have not had any of these pairing issues with my front yard moisture meter and timer. However, they have been within ~25 feet of each other since I set them up.I have not found a way to purchase a Wi-Fi Faucet individually without purchasing the irrigation hub as well. Currently, I need between 6 and 8 timers (and moisture meters), but do not wish to pay the extra money for the hubs with each purchase.I will say the Android app is not the most user friendly, but it will likely be updated in the future, so I am not as worried about it.Overall, I would have purchased the timer and moisture meters again. They have saved me a good amount of time so far, but they are a little finicky.I purchased the Rainpoint water timer and WiFi Smart socket about a month ago in preparation for my spring garden. So I figured I'd give their soil moisture meter a try as well. After testing out the soil moisture meter for these last few few days, I realize that the moisture meter is another absolute "must-have" for the serious gardener. The Rainpoint water timer by itself is an excellent product. But when it's combined with the soil moisture meter, it takes automated gardening to the next level. The moisture meter can be synchronized with the Rainpoint water timer and programmed to turn the water on and off based on various conditions that you decide. For instance, you can program the water timer to turn on when the soil moisture level drops below 20% or when the soil temperature is over 80 degrees. Or you can set it to cancel or postpone the water meter's scheduled time for watering if it happens to rain and the soil moisture level goes over XX% moisture. The combinations are endless. This device is really going to up my gardening game this season. I no longer have to micromanage my watering day by day like I used to. I work a 9-5 job. So before I bought these Rainpoint devices, I used to have guess at the future weather when I woke up in the mornings and then set up my garden watering schedule before I left for work. Then if it happens to later rain on a day that the water timer was scheduled to turn on, I ended up wasting a bunch of unnecessary water. And then on the days where the afternoon ended up being a lot hotter and drier than I expected, my poor plants start wilting and go limp because I underestimated and didn't schedule the watering timer to run long enough for the day.... Anyway, those days are no more. With the phone app, I can now control my watering schedule no matter where I am. And on the days I forget to bother checking the weather, I can leave it up to the parameters I've set up with the moisture meter to turn on and off the water timer to what the soil moisture reads. I'm looking forward to planting my seedlings at the end of the month and not having to worry about predicting rain or dry spells when it comes to watering my garden this year.
